About the FIT Version
The FIT Version
(Functional Idiomatic Translation) seeks to communicate the meaning of
the biblical text in clear, natural English while remaining attentive
to the wording, structure, and context of the original languages.
Its
purpose is to make Scripture readily understandable without obscuring
details important to interpretation. The accompanying notes help
readers examine decisions behind particular renderings.

Greek & Hebrew Hover Notes
In the original-language editions, hover over a word with a mouse or tap it on a touchscreen to see available study notes. Depending on the word, notes may include:
- Transliteration and a concise English gloss
- Grammatical parsing where it affects interpretation
- Lexical, historical, and theological significance
- Exegetical observations and teaching or preaching ideas on selected significant expressions
Not
every word requires an extended note. The richer explanations are
reserved for terms or constructions that materially affect
interpretation.
For Greek interlinear samples,
concise glosses appear beneath individual Greek words; a nearby quick
diagnosis opens expanded grammatical study, with selected textual
variants drawn from the Holmes SBL apparatus.
